How quickly a year flies by! Cole turned one yesterday, so I thought I'd post a couple pictures from his "big debut". A year ago yesterday I was being induced at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee--very eager to be done being SO huge! Things went smoothly and at 5:57 pm Cole William made his entrance--all 9lbs and 7oz of him. I remember my doctor telling me as soon as he was born--"this is a BIG baby, Katie." I took one look at his hands and knew he was a big boy! I just kept thinking "Please let him be under 10 lbs." He was big and ADORABLE! He had chubby little cheeks already!
Now we can't imagine life without our little Cole-man. He has brought us so much laughter and joy! Here are just a few reasons why we celebrate Cole:
- his sly, 4-toothed grin that he flashes when he knows he's in trouble
- the way he charges into whatever he's doing like a "bull in a China shop"(and has the battle scars to proove it!)
- he has shown us the meaning of "all boy!"
- the giggle that comes with the fact that he is ridiculously ticklish
- the amount of sound he produces (happy or sad--it's all the same.)
- he can say "mama" and "dada" and melt our hearts by doing so
- he has the roundest belly, roundest cheeks, and roundest head you ever did see...
- his adoration for big sister Annika
- his ability to cover himself from head to toe with whatever he's eating (I say he eats like Cookie Monster)
- his big cheesy smiles that make his eyes disappear
- his endless curiousity
Cole, we are so glad that God gave you to us. We love you!!!
