Our little ballerina performed in her first dance recital yesterday afternoon. Annika's and her beginner ballet classmates were snow angels. It was darling. And, yes, Annika really did perform despite strong doubts from mom and dad (she'd been crying about it all afternoon!), but she pulled through! And kept saying, "I knew I could do it!" when it was finished. The highlight for Annika: the cookies and juice afterwards! Beforehand, she was also eager to give her brother pointers on how to sit still and behave during the recital.
