33 weeks

Well, hello, chubby face. I really dislike that I swell up in my face, but, it's for a great cause, so I'll happily sport some chub. I took off my wedding ring as a precaution--my hands and feet have not swelled up like they did with Cole, thankfully. I thought it'd be good to take off the wedding ring if/when they do swell up so I don't have to endure the torture of trying to get them off. Ask Mark. We tried everything to get those rings off before Cole was born--minus sawing off my ring or finger. It hurt like CRAZY. This week I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and cramping, so I've been a bit more uncomfortable than previous weeks. It's too bad this started so early. Since my babies have a history of having a gestational period of an elephant, this could be a long, uncomfortable few weeks if the contractions continue.

Mark leaves this afternoon for the annual AAOS conference in New Orleans for the next several days . So, that leaves me and the kiddos and a rainy forecast to entertain ourselves. We'll find some fun stuff to do, but I'm jealous of the fact that Mark will see some of our residency friends---and get adult conversation. I'm kicking myself that I chose not to go. I thought I'd be too pregnant and uncomfortable when we made the decision. It might be for the best...cajun food may have killed me.
