Our little Bennett Bopper (Cole loves to call him this!) is doing great. He has a two week appt. today with the pediatrician, so we'll get the official scoop then. He is a chilled little guy, and we are very grateful for that. We have been adjusting well for the most part. It gets a bit hairy when the older two start fighting and Bennett's crying or eating or something...that's when I definitely could use an extra pair of hands, but, on a whole, I have much to be grateful for! Cole has been much gentler with Bennett than I thought he would be...I had visions of the poor little guy getting launched out of his bouncy seat. Annika LOVES to hold him, and always wants to help. Like it or not, Bennett, you have two mommies :). We have been blessed with several neighbors and friends bringing us meals. What a treat!
Mark and I sat down and typed out a timeline of our remaining time in Birmingham (which is only a few more weeks!). We have so much going on between now and when we leave. I knew things would be crazy after the baby arrived, but seeing it on paper confirms it! First on the agenda is finding a house in Kalamazoo. We are making another road trip to MI in a couple weeks. Yes, Bennett will only be 4 weeks old. Yes, we are crazy. But, having a place to live is rather important, so off to MI we go again. Part of me wishes I could just have some more time to bask in the happiness of my new little boy instead of thinking about everything else...
