Big B from the Big B Turns 1!!!

Hard to believe that our littlest "monkey" has turned 1, but as of Saturday we no longer count Bennett's age in months.  We've often referred to Bennett Michael as our "Bama Surprise," but a cuter, more blessed surprise we could not have asked for!!  Truly the best souvenier we took from Alabama : ).  Bennett is not walking yet, but prefers to push his little walker/cart around the house rather than crawl.  He loves sneaking up the stairs and is often at the landing before I catch him!  From his perch on the landing, B loves to laugh his little cackly laugh at me.  Through Bennett's first several months, we were convinced that he was going to be our most-chilled child.  He was a very good baby and kinda took life in stride (as if the poor boy had a choice this past year!).  However, we would no longer describe him as calm.  He has one volume: scream!  He is exerting his will and showing us that, indeed, he has quite the little personality.  He wants nothing to do with baby food and is a total disaster every time he eats. As I said, he has found his voice, and loves to jabber.  His favorite words are "NO" "uh oh" "dada" (sometimes i get a "mama") and birdy--"beedee".  Bennett loves to watch the birds out our back window where he can see them from his high chair.  We had fun celebrating our blonde haired, blue eyed boy's birthday last Friday with grandpas and grandmas.  Happy Birthday Bennett Michael!  We love you!
