We just returned from another blissfully laid back week in Orange Beach, Alabama at Mom and Dad Sytsma's condo. Our trip began with a very long overnight drive through rain, rain, and more rain. I asked Mark at one point if he felt like Noah. We turned our windshield wipers on in Kenosha (45 minutes south of home) and didn't turn them off the entire trip. Needless to say, we were very happy to arrive at Amy and Daron's in Pensecola. We had a lot of fun catching up with Daron, Amy and all the girls. Annika loved playing with her cousins...she followed her older cousins, Emily and Sarah-Kate, around like a puppy-dog. It was quite the house full of little ladies plus Cole. He doesn't realize he's outnumbered yet!
Monday after breakfast we headed for the beach! There wasn't much of a schedule from then on...sleep in (oh, wait...not with two kids...), walk on the beach, collect shells, eat breakfast on patio, slather on loads of sunscreen, make two trips the beach with sun tent, cooler, chairs, umbrella, sand toys, etc; swim in pool, go up to condo for lunch and naps, slather on more sunscreen, back to the beach, up to condo, baths, dinner on patio, kids to bed, listen to waves, sleep, REPEAT. We did manage to mix it up a bit with a couple trips to our favorite ice cream shop: Scoops, out to dinner at Lambert's Throwed Rolls, and a cloudy Thursday morning to the outlet mall. Otherwise, it was a sunny beach bum's life for us! AHHH...it was great!

Looks like great trip. That sand is so white and fine it almost looks like snow! And I must say you are looking awesome and skinny!
Thanks, Lynn! We had a fantastic time! You'll have to ask "Uncle Bill and Aunt Jenny" if you can use the condo some time.
