9 months and 8 years!!

So, yesterday Cole turned 9 months old!! 9 MONTHS! I can't believe my "little" guy is so old already! Yesterday he had a Dr's appointment, and he weighs 19lbs 2 oz which apparently is under average! We never thought Cole would be under average in that department since he started so large! They even asked me if he's been eating okay! HA! Clearly they don't know our little Rolly Coley! I concluded that there must be some big ol' boys out there for Cole to be under average. Annika was 19lbs at a year :)! I have many friends who now have large boys too. However, their boys all started small--in the 5-6lb range. I'm curious why I had to be the big pregnant one and carry the large baby while theirs grew after birth! Oh well! We are sooo very grateful for our healthy boy! He is a lot of fun, and will clearly be keeping us on our toes. He is now mobile after having mastered his "combat" crawl and is trying to coordinate his arms and legs for some "real" crawling. It ends up in lots of face plants! He likes to wave bye-bye, but does not consistently do it all the time, so if I want him to show off, it's not likely to happen. He also loves water! He cries when I take him out of the tub! I even put his bath seat in our kiddie pool (see picture);he wasn't even phased when he splashed so hard and tipped himself into the water!

In other news, Mark and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary yesterday! We can't believe it's been 8 years since a couple of young punks got married in Zeeland, MI! Time flies when you're having fun! Guess 8 years takes us officially out of newlywed status, huh?! Maybe that's why we celebrated with take-out at 9:00 last night! Romantic!
