Last night, when we were tucking Annika in bed, she thanked Jesus for Palm Sunday and Easter, so I asked her, "Why do we celebrate Easter, Annika?"
She replied, "Because Jesus rised from the dead" and then, "but it's also about hope and candy and Easter eggs." (direct quote!)
Oh boy. We're glad she got the real meaning...but where does she get this stuff? The last part had us cracking up...she said it so matter-of-factly.
We hope each of you takes time this week to remember that Jesus died and "Jesus rised from the dead" for you!! AMAZING GRACE!! AND It is about the hope we have because of Christ's sacrifice for you and me.
