We have been very busy at the Sytsma house lately, so it was nice to enjoy some relaxation time this weekend. Saturday afternoon we took the kids to the zoo for some of the Easter festivities. As you will see there was bunny facepainting and bunny ears. Daddy was with us, so we got to ride the train (that's a special treat...we don't ride the train unless daddy is along). It was a bit chilly outside, but it was sunny!! The kids spent a lot of time at the end of the day at the zoo playground. Usually the playground is so crowded, we don't even try, but there were very few kids later in the afternoon. Annika and Cole giggled and giggled going down the slide at the same time. It was very cute to see Cole try to keep up with Annika. We headed to Home Depot to get some new windows, and then grabbed some food. Remind me that eating out with Cole is NOT something that should be done regularly. By the time our food came, I had exhausted most of my treats and "bag of tricks." He desperately wanted to get down and run. Oh well. It was nice to get out.
Sunday we had two church services...a sunrise service at 8:30, brunch, and then a 10:00 service. I was in nursery for the 10:00 service, so we decided to go to both. Annika did a great job sitting still in church, but I think she was bored to tears by the time the second one was done.
We had three other families over for Easter dinner. We had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard for the little ones before dinner. Cole wasn't very interested in the eggs. (Although now that he knows what is inside them, he's very interested in the eggs)
We had a ton of food for dinner...everyone brought something. It was great; I didn't have to prepare that much. It was really nice to have friends with us since we could not be with family.

It looks like you had a fun weekend. Annika and Cole are getting big fast and both very cute like their mom :).
