The day Annika has been ancipating for a long time, finally arrived! This morning Mommy and Cole walked Annika up the street to All Saints' Preschool. She is doing the Monday, Wednesday, Friday program from 9-1. Monday was an open house to meet her teachers and visit her classroom. She is now unwinding from her big day with a little snack and then off to rest/nap time! Annika already has a little friend named Ella (Ella's daddy is doing a fellowship in a different specialty at UAB...she's from Oregon). Little brother Cole had fun with mommy, but come lunch time asked for "A-ka" "A-ka" a lot!

I am dealing with the 1st day jitters from my preschool class this week. They get dropped off with smiles on their faces, but soon their smiles turn into tears. How was Annika's first day afterall? Any tears? Does she still enjoy going? Ms. Sara wants to know what her favorite part of her day is....then maybe I'll use that fact in my 3-year-old class. :)
I can't believe that Claire starts 4K next Tuesday! She'll be getting up everyday for school. They grow up too fast! But school everyday equals less daycare bills! Woohoo!
Elise had her 1st day of multiage 1st & 2nd grade. Didn't get much out of her, but I guess she enjoyed it. At least, I think she did...there were no tears and she isn't crabby. Those are always good signs.
Sorry, this took so long to respond to. Life has been busy for me, going from summer schedules/classes to new students for fall. Ugh! Hope life in Alabama is good. We miss you much!
Love,
Sara
