Cole's First Baseball Game

I'm just going to start off by saying that I don't have pictures right now, because they are on Mark's phone, but as soon as I get ahold of it, I'll post the pics.

Mark was team doc for the minor league baseball team, the Baron's, last night. So, in order to spend some quality time as a family, we all went. It was pouring rain on the way there, but the rain stopped soon before game time and it turned out to be a lovely night for a baseball game. It was a relatively small crowd so our kids had free-reign over the row of seats next to us. Cole delighted himself with playing in the puddles that had gathered and clapping when the crowd cheered. Annika did great; she had previously attended a game with Daddy so she remembered that daddy had purchased an ice cream sandwich. It took a lot of will power to last until the 5th inning for treats. Minor league ball is a fun family atmosphere...lots of entertainment, prizes, and even some Friday night fireworks to top it off! Today, we may have to deal with the aftermath of children who stayed up way too late, but it was worth it!

Daddy is off to Jacksonville State for yet another football game today! We just finished a long, sweaty walk around the neighborhood, and Annika is looking forward to a princess birthday party for a neighbor friend. We are trying to keep ourselves busy while daddy is away!

Though we just moved here, we are looking ahead to next year. We have been praying for God to show us where he can use us next year. We'd appreciate your prayers as we make decisions about where Mark should practice and where we will settle. It has been tougher to figure out than we thought.

We miss our friends and family in the midwest (and beyond); but feel like we are settling in a bit to our life in Alabama. We'd love to hear from you!
